Enchantment Under The Sea
Krewe de la Noblesse held its 27th Mardi Gras Ball on Saturday, January 28, 2012 at the Lake Charles Civic Center. In keeping with this year’s theme, “Enchantment Under the Sea”, the Coliseum was transformed with decorations depicting Atlantis, Davy Jones Locker, Sea Chest, and Undersea Life. The script for the presentation written by Krewe Member, Kristine Like and the Director for the presentation was Krewe Member, John Richards. Master of Ceremonies for the evening was Mr. Dale Mann.
The presentation began with the posting of colors by the Lagrange Navy Junior ROTC cadets and the singing of the National Anthem.

Representing Oceanus, the Titan God of the Great Earth encircling the river Oceanus which was the font of all freshwater .
Captain Leo Reddoch, III
Captain Leo and his wife Heather are residents of Lake Charles and the
owners of Reddoch Land Surveying, Gulf Coast Unishippers, Western
Shipping Group of New Mexico, and Ship It All of Beaumont, Texas. They
are the parents of three sons – Jason, Grant, and Alec. Leo is a
graduate of Louisiana Tech University and enjoys sailing, hunting,
fishing and golf.

Duke Tony Comeaux and Duchess Toni Caraway
Duke Tony is a resident of Vinton and graduate of Vinton High School. Tony is a ten year employee of Delta Downs and is a member of the Cajun French Music Association, a charter member of the Twelfth Night Revelers, currently serving as Vice President, and a member of the Board of Mardi Gras of Southwest Louisiana. The Duke has been a member of Krewe de la Noblesse for twenty six years. He enjoys Mardi Gras activities and dancing.
Duchess Toni Caraway
recently retired as Director of the Calcasieu Council on Aging, a
position she held for seventeen years. She has worked in Council on
Aging network for 36 years including the Parishes of St. Martin, Iberia,
Lafayette and Calcasieu. Toni and her husband of twenty-two years, Dr.
Bobby Caraway, have been members of the Krewe de la Noblesse for
seventeen years and were King and Queen in 2000. She enjoys gardening,
spending time with family and of course Mardi Gras.

Representing Reef Life were
Duke Dwight Duplantis and Duchess Tammy Boudreaux
Duke Dwight, a resident of Houma and a an employee of Haliburton Energy Services, is a graduate of Nichols State University with a BS in Secondary Education. He is the father of three daughters – Jeri Boone of Jacksonville, North Carolina, Leah Grigsby of Castaic, California and Lani Duplantis of Houma, and two grandchildren. Dwight is a member of Ka-Jon Grotto in Houma working for the charities of Free Dentistry for Children with Special Needs and Cerebral Palsy Research. In his spare time Dwight enjoys riding his bicycle with his faith companion, his dog Rokko. Dwight is engaged to Duchess Tammy Boudreaux.
Duchess Tammy Boudreaux is a resident of Houma and a Licensed Practical Nurse and Certified Professional Medical Coder at the Cardiovascular Institute of the South in Houma, Louisiana. Tammy attended Nichols State University and received her LPN degree from South Louisiana Technical College and is a member of the American Association of Professional Coders. She has one daughter, Kaysie Boudreaux and a son, Dillon. Tammy is a member of Houma’s famous St. Lucy Catholic Church and a member of St. Lucy Catholic Church Gospel Choir.

Representing Sunken Treasurers were
Duke Paul Anthony Pounders and Duchess Sheila Pounders
Duke Paul is a Grid Manager for Entergy in Baton Rouge. He received a BS in Industrial Technology from Southern Illinois University and a MBA from Webster University. Paul is originally from Arkansas but after his marriage to Duchess Sheila he moved to Louisiana and is enjoying all tradition including Mardi Gras and great Louisiana cooking.
Duchess Sheila is
employed as Regional Customer Service Manager for Entergy in Baton Rouge.
She received a BS in Management from McNeese State University and a MBA from
Louisiana State University. She is a board member of the Baton Rouge Area
Chamber, a member of Baton Rouge Rotary Club, board member Istrouma School
Zone Initiative, past president of Rebuilding Together Calcasieu, past board
member of United Way of Calcasieu and the Chamber Southwest. The Duke and
Duchess enjoy spending time with family, friends and grandkids. They are the
parents of four – Jesse, Jessica and Christopher Pounders and Blake Scott
Johnson and three grandchildren – Tatumn, Finley, and Maris.
Representing the Island of Atlantis
Duke Vince Vincent and Duchess Jennifer Bauer Vincent
Duke Vince is a helicopter mechanic for PHI Helicopters in Galveston, Texas. He is a graduate of South Cameron High School, has served in the US Army as a Blackhawk crew chief where he earned his Airframe and Powerplant License in six helicopter schools by Sikorsky, Eurocopter, and Bell Helicopter. He enjoys hunting, fishing, listening to Cajun music, playing the accordion, traveling the world and spending time with his family.
Duchess Jennifer is employee of Coach Leatherware and has a BS in Mathematics and a Master in Health Administration. In her spare time she enjoys singing and scrapbooking.

Representing King Poseidon
King Gabriel Noblesse XXVII, Mr.Wayne Caraway
King Wayne is a graduate of
Louisiana Tech University with a BS in Business Administration and Data
Processing. He is the son of ninety year old Mrs. Ruth Caraway of Toledo
Bend Reservoir, Hemphill, Texas. He is employed by Am Trust Financial Group
as Special Projects Training/Business Analyst/Property & Casualty
Underwriter. The King enjoys water activities and gardening.
The King’s tunic was made of brilliant shades of aqua and teal crepe sateen
with rhinestone and pearl shell appliqué trim and his mantle was of shades
of aqua and mauve and highlighted with white ostrich feathers.

Representing Queen Ampitrite
Queen Ashley Noblesse XXVII Mrs.Sylvia Caraway
Queen Sylvia is also a graduate of Louisiana Tech University with a BS in Fine Arts and Advertising Design. She is employed as an Asset Preservation Specialist by Mortgage Contracting Services, Inc. in Plano, Texas. The Queen enjoys gardening, arts and crafts, cooking and sharing with the neighbors – she has been labeled their personal meals on wheels.
The Queen’s gown was made of shades of aqua and teal crepe sateen trimmed in with cap sleeves trimmed in seed pearls and rhinestone shell appliqué trim; and her mantle was of shades of aqua and mauve and highlighted with white ostrich feathers.
The King and Queen reside in Arlington, Texas.

Royal Entertainment for the evening was presented Glenda Moss Academy.
Following the traditional promenade and toast by the Royal Court, members and guests enjoyed remainder of the evening dancing to the music of Louisiana Red.

Miss Vyktoria Rose (Tori Rose) Aker is the daughter of Krewe members Jim and Sonja Aker. Tori Rose is a 2011 Distinguished Honor graduate of Cleburne High School, Cleburne, Texas, where she was a member of the Beta Club, active in FAA serving as Treasurer and President, an active member of the Exchangettes and member of the Senior Homecoming Court. She was the recipient of many academic awards such as scholarships from First United Methodist Church, Exchangettes Scholarship, Area VIII FAA Scholarship, Kiwanis Club Scholarship and the George Marti and Project Celebration Scholarship. She is a freshman at Texas A & M majoring in Psychology. Tori Rose enjoys running, dancing, hanging out with friends, knitting, riding horses and crafting.

Whitney Lee Burkholder is the granddaughter of Krewe Members Ray and Louella Marcantel. Whitney is 2011 Honor Graduate of Lake Arthur High School, graduating in the top ten of her class, and is a recipient of the TOPS Performance Scholarship. She is a freshman at the University of Louisiana at Lafayette majoring in Business Management and with a double major in Interior Design, Pre-Law or Psychology. Whitney enjoys shopping, going to the movies, visiting with family and friends, bowling, and reading.

Amber Leger is the daughter of Jude and Tina Leger and the niece of Krewe Members Ann and Herman Leger. She is a 2011 graduate of Round Rock High School, Round Rock, Texas where she was a member of the Interact Club, a community service club, a four year member of the Dragon Band serving as its Vice President. She is currently attending Austin Community College but hopes to transfer to McNeese State University to pursue a teaching degree. Amber was escorted by her uncle and Krewe Member, Herman Leger.
